BURTON, MI (WNEM) -
Officials are responding to reports of downed power lines in the city of Burton.
The lines are down on Maple Avenue, near the intersection of South Center Road.
Not much is know at this time as to what brought the power lines down or if any injuries were sustained in the incident. It is also not known if any road closures are in effect as result.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area if at all possible. Alternate routes when traveling in the city are East Hill Road or East Bristol Road for east and westbound commuters. Those traveling north and southbound can use either Dort Highway or South Belsay Road.
