DUI suspect leads AZ officers on 2-hour chase

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A suspected drunken driver led police on a two-hour chase through five Valley communities early Sunday morning, Phoenix police said.

Mario Olivarria also managed to rob beer from a convenience store during the pursuit, officers said.

The chase began about 2 a.m. when Olivarria disobeyed commands to pull over at 27th Avenue and Greenway, police said.

The driver led police though Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, and the Gila River Indian Reservation.

Olivarria finally surrendered at Tatum and Mayo boulevards without incident. He was arrested and booked into jail.
