SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
A storm system which organized over the Plains states Monday will push into Mid-Michigan this morning.
It will slow down and continue to deepen overhead before exiting into Quebec Wednesday.
The rain falling across the area will change over to snow by the afternoon as temperatures rapidly fall behind a cold front. This will cause any standing water on the roads and sidewalks to freeze.
Southwest winds will be strong and gusting in the 40 mph range. Snow accumulations between 1-2 inches are expected.
The cold weather will persist for the next couple days.
