GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -
A 30-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical condition after she was ejected from her rolling SUV and landed in an embankment near a Glendale park Thursday morning.
The woman was westbound on Bethany Home Road near 83rd Avenue and apparently missed a curve in the road, rolled her SUV several times and was ejected, according to Michael Young of the Glendale Fire Department. He said she did not appear to have been wearing a seatbelt.
Young said workers were getting ready to open a city park nearby when they heard someone yelling and found her down the embankment about 6 a.m.
Young said they did not know how long she had been in the ditch.
