SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
According to Saginaw water service officials, a six-inch water main break has shut down water service to customers on Malzahn, between Brockway and Mackinaw in the city of Saginaw.
The main burst around 2 p.m. Monday and was originally installed in 1929. Residents in the area will be without water until 7 p.m.
John Primo, with the Saginaw Water Department, said Michigan's freeze-thaw cycle caused the break.
