SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

A local family reached out to WNEM TV5 to show off a photo depicting a snowman with a microphone in its hand.

The snowman was built to resemble a TV5 reporter, and Chase and Julia Hamilton, of Saginaw, used the heavy, wet snow that fell overnight to build it.

Chase's mom said he is a huge fan of TV5 Meteorologist Catherine Bodak and "wakes up everyday to see her weather report." "He gets really bummed when she isn't working," said Allison Hamilton in an e-mail to TV5. "Thanks for being the best place to check the weather."

Bodak was so touched by the little boy's gesture, she went out to meet him. The video above shows Bodak and the Hamilton family meeting for the first time. The kids say it took them about two hours to make the snowman.
