SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
The man accused of having sex with underage girls was in court Monday for a bond hearing.
Last month, Judge Janet Boes overturned Logan Gaines' 2012 conviction after both the prosecution and defense agreed to it.
The judge also granted him a new trial.
But in a twist last week, Saginaw County Prosecutor John Mccolgan changed his mind and at Monday's hearing it was expected that Mccolgan would ask the judge to re-instate Gaines' conviction.
He was sentenced to four to 15 years for four counts of 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct.
The judge scheduled more hearings for Wednesday at 9 a.m. The defense argued that the prosecutor pulling support for a new trial is unprecidented and the prosecutor said information has been misrepresented.
Gaines returned to jail with no bond granted.
