Clare Co. man arrested on criminal sex charges

CLARE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A Clare County man has been arrested and arraigned on second-degree criminal sexual conduct charges.

Clare County Sheriff John S. Wilson said detectives from the department arrested Gerald Stanley Kornexl, 68, of Harrison, last Friday after a complaint was lodged against him.

Wilson said that the complaint stated Kornexl had inappropriately touched a 9-year-old girl. Deputies continue to investigate to see if there are any other victims.

Kornexl's bond was set at $500,000 and he is currently being held at the Clare County Jail.

No further details were issued by the sheriff's office.
