GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
If you're looking to get into the health care field, Genesys Regional Medical Center wants to help.
Genesys is teaming up with the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce to hold a health care career day Thursday.
High school students from several schools will spend a full day rotating through four clinical areas and one non clinical area in hopes of helping students with the decision making process on a potential career in the industry.
The areas include Laboratory, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, Pharmacy and Performance Excellence.
There will also be a career fair, where representatives from colleges and universities will provide program and degree information.
High schools represented at the event are Burton Bendle, Burton Bentley, Clio, Davison, Fenton, Grand Blanc, Linden, Flint Southwestern Academy and Swartz Creek.
The career day kicks off at 9 a.m. and will go until 4 p.m.
