Slick conditions cause multiple crashes on I-675, I-75

BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Police responded to multiple accidents on the major highways Thursday morning in Saginaw County.

Accidents were reported on north and southbound I-675 near the I-75 interchange in Buena Vista Township. Other accidents were reported in the area of northbound I-75 near the M-81 interchange.

The extent of damages in any of the accidents is not known at this time.  No word if any injuries were sustained either.

Northbound I-675 was shut down at the interchange with I-75 for a short time but the roadway has since reopened. Police put salt on the roadways to try to alleviate the situation.

There was also a vehicle fire on southbound I-75 at the 151 mile marker in Zilwaukee Township.

Accidents have been reported all morning long on major highways and area roadways.

Another accident was reported on U.S. 10 at the interchange with I-75 in Bay County around 6 a.m.

Police are advising drivers to use caution.
