PINCONNING, MI (WNEM) -
Schools are going high tech to help tackle the serious topic of bullying.
Pinconning Schools are rolling out a new app called Truth Locker, which works against cyber-bullying.
The app gives students and parents the power to stop hurtful texts.
The app works on apple and android phones.
Monday, sixth through eighth graders in Pinconning Schools will get more information, along with their parents. An information meeting will be held at 5 p.m. inside the middle school library. Olympic middle distance runner Paul McMullen will be on hand to talk about his experience with bullying and to promote the app he has created.
The app is already available in Dexter, Pinckney, Grand Haven, Cadillac, Petoskey and the Muskegon area.
