Man hits utility pole after swerving to miss deer

BAY COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A man has been hospitalized after crashing into a Bay County utility pole early Monday morning.

It happened on west Youngsditch Road in Hampton Township near Burns road.

Police say the man swerved to avoid a deer when he lost control of his vehicle.

Investigators say the driver of the vehicle is in his 20's, but did not release any further information. He was taken to the hospital with neck and back pain.
