MIDLAND, MI (WNEM) -
WNEM has received word that Tittabawassee River Road is closed at Dublin Road in Midland County because of excessive flooding in the area.
The area affected is near the Northwood University campus. No word if the closure is affecting Whiting Drive, which is one of the entrances into Northwood University.
Alternate routes for commuters would be North Saginaw Road.
Other roads closed in Midland County include Orr Road is closed between Tittabawassee and LaPorte. Bradford Road is closed between Coleman Road and West County Line Road, West County Line Road is closed between Curtis and Coolidge Roads.
WNEM has also received word of a road closure in Genesee County. Cook Road is closed between Sharp and Beers Road in Mundy Township.
Alternate routes when traveling in that area include Grand Blanc Road and Baldwin Road.
There are also reports of flooding in Arenac County with the intersection of Deep River Road and Sterling Road nearly covered in water.
Also, many areas in the area of the Cass River had reported high water levels. Flood stage for the Cass is 17 feet, and it is forecast to crest at 18.6 feet sometime Tuesday night.
The Rifle River in Arenac County is also expected to crest at 9 feet, three feet above it's 6-foot flood stage. Minor flooding is occurring due to the rising waters.
