State police say a truck pulling two trailers had a tire blowout on an expressway near Ann Arbor and overturned onto a passenger car, killing the driver.
AnnArbor.com says the crash happened about 1 p.m. Monday on U.S. 23 in Washtenaw County's Northfield Township, about seven miles north of Ann Arbor.
Sgt. Mark Thompson says both vehicles were southbound when the truck's tire blew, and the rear trailer crushed the car.
Thompson says the car's driver was a 58-year-old man from the Flint area named James Wallace. It wasn't immediately known if the truck's driver was hurt.
State police closed the expressway for about four hours.
