
Michigan State-bound guard Tori Jankoska of Freeland High School is Miss Basketball for the state of Michigan.
The award is given by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan, in conjunction with the Detroit Free Press.
Jankoska averaged 30.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 4.8 steals this season. She scored 2,333 points in her career.
Taylor Gleason of Goodrich finished second, followed by Abby Cole of Grand Haven, Antania Hayes of Detroit King and Allie Havers of Mattawan.
Next season, Michigan State will have three of the last four Miss Basketball winners on its roster. Klarissa Bell won in 2010 and Jasmine Hines in 2011.
