The investigation into the deadly crash that killed two sisters and injured three others on M-46 continues in Saginaw County.

Right now officials are waiting on the results of a toxicology report to see if the driver of a pickup truck that crossed the center line and slammed into two vehicles was under the influence at the time of the crash.

The three-vehicle crash happened Wednesday morning on Gratiot Road, near Davis, in Saginaw Township. The road was closed to traffic for about three hours.

Carol Lyle, 63, and Judith Kelly, 67, were both killed and their other sister, 63-year-old Patricia Aldrich, was injured. Another driver of a Jeep Liberty involved in the crash was also injured.

The 45-year-old driver of the tan pickup that slammed into oncoming traffic recently underwent surgery at an area hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Police said they are waiting for him to recover before they can question him. Click here to read WNEM.com's original story on the crash.

Meanwhile, funeral arrangements have been completed for the sisters. Visitation will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at W.L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport Township. The sisters were from Bridgeport. Their funeral will be three hours later at the same location.
