SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
Buena Vista Township Police say they have arrested a 50-old Saginaw man for impersonating a police officer.
Detectives received information from Saginaw Police detectives that a man was flashing a Buena Vista Police badge Store at the 7-Eleven store at Bay Road and State in Saginaw.
Buena Vista detectives said they were investigating the incident attempting to identify the man seen on surveillance camera when they received a call Thursday night from a manager at Grand Central Sports Bar on State Street.
Employees said a man posing as an officer was inside making people nervous. Officers went directly to the venue and confronted the man.
Police said they questioned him and seized a older Buena Vista Patrolman's badge. The man was arrested and lodged in the Saginaw County Jail.
