UNIVERSITY CENTER, MI (WNEM) -

Legislation is being introduced that could help curb gun violence in Michigan schools.

Senator Mike Green introduced a bill Tuesday that would allow school boards to decide to arm a teacher or a member of school staff.

The senator talked about this bill during a panel discussion about gun control.

He was one of five panel members at the Delta College auditorium in Bay County.

Each panel member brought different ideas on what they think will and won't work to stop gun violence.

The meeting was in wake of the recent gun violence across the nation.
