Robbery suspect spotted running from home with TV

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A 911 call about a man seen running through a Madison neighborhood with a flat-screen television helped police find other stolen items.

The witness saw the man running along Free Silver Road with the television. He thought it was bizarre and watched the person get into a white car.

The witness called police with the car description. When officers arrived at the neighborhood, they found a home had been burglarized.

Another officer spotted the white car, ran the tags and realized it matched the description from other burglaries in the area.

Police followed the car to a home on 16th Avenue North. When police entered the house, they found the suspect, Howard Horton, and four stolen flat-screen televisions.

Officers said two of the TVs came from the home on Free Silver Road.

Horton is charged with aggravated burglary.
