Saginaw Police respond to two shootings in less than 24 hours

SAGINAW, MI (AP) -

Saginaw police have responded to two shootings in the city in the last 24 hours, one of which was fatal.

One person was killed after a shooting on the city's west side.

The shooting happened Wednesday afternoon in the 2300 block of North Michigan near Cronk.

The victim's name has not been released, and the case is still under investigation.

It's Saginaw's seventh homicide of the year.

The latest shooting happened early Thursday morning. The shooting happened around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Webber and Sheridan.

It's not clear how badly the victim was wounded.
