Local rivers cresting

The Tittabawassee River has crested, and two other local waterways causing flooding problems in Mid-Michigan are expected to do the same this weekend.

The Tittabawassee River crested at 3 a.m., reaching 28.4 feet.  Flood stage is 24 feet, and the water is expected to recede below that level sometime Monday.

The Saginaw River at Saginaw is forecast to crest at 22.3 feet before 5 a.m. tomorrow.

The Cass River at Frankenmuth is forecasted to crest at 20.8 feet before 6 p.m.
