Authorities seek help solving murder of Gladstone woman

GLADSTONE, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities are seeking additional help in solving the murder of a 52-year-old woman found dead in the woods behind her apartment.

Nancy J. Bowman, 52, was reported missing on Aug. 2.

She was last seen on the evening of July 31 and was walking to a Gladstone Fire Station No. 1 at 6118 North Oak Trafficway, but she never made it.

Her body was found days later in a heavily wooded area outside the Mountain View apartment complex located at 61st Street and Bircain Place.

An autopsy revealed Bowman had been stabbed to death. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

Information leading to an arrest in the case could be eligible for up to $1,000 in reward money.
