SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

The twice per week traffic shift required to accommodate work on the Zilwaukee Bridge, which originally was scheduled to begin this weekend has been rescheduled.

Currently, southbound I-75 traffic remains detoured via southbound I-675 through May 11. Beginning Sunday, May 12, I-75 traffic will be shifted twice per week to ensure three open lanes in the direction of peak travel, with traffic detoured to I-675 in the opposite direction.

The traffic shift and detour schedule is as follows:

Sundays - Tuesdays
- Three southbound I-75 lanes will be shifted onto northbound I-75.
- Northbound I-75 will be detoured to northbound I-675.

Wednesdays - Saturdays
- Three lanes open on northbound I-75.
- Southbound I-75 will be closed with traffic detoured to southbound I-675.

- Janes Road will remain closed and detoured via Outer Drive, Wadsworth Avenue and Tower Line Road.

- The M-13 ramp to southbound I-75 is closed. Traffic is rerouted to I-675, where motorists can take southbound I-75.

- The M-81 ramp to southbound I-75 is closed. Traffic is rerouted to M-13, then to southbound I-675, where motorists can take southbound I-75.

- The Adams Street ramp to southbound I-75 is closed. Traffic is rerouted to Tittabawassee Road, then to I-675, where motorists can take southbound I-75.

- The northbound I-675 ramp to southbound I-75 is closed. Motorists can take northbound I-75 to M-84 to access southbound I-75.

- The southbound I-675 ramp to northbound I-75 is closed. Motorists can take southbound I-75 to M-46 to access northbound I-75.
