WOOD COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Two vehicles collided on State Route 51 in Lake Township early Saturday morning.

According to Highway Patrol officials, it happened at 1:43 a.m.

A 2008 Ford Focus, driven by Jason Hill of Bowling Green, veered left and crossed the center lane.

Hill, 32, struck the 1999 Hyundai Accent of 60-year-old Bobbi Neitling, of Woodville.

The vehicles collided head on. Both spun off to the south side of the road.

Hill's vehicle struck a traffic sign.

Emergency crews had to extract Neitling from her car. She was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Hill was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing a seatbelt.

Officials say alcohol use contributed to the crash, but an investigation is still underway.

Charges are pending.
