ELBA, MI (WNEM) -

Crews were forced to temporarily shut down westbound I-69 in Lapeer County at the Elba Road exit after a tractor-trailer overturned.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. Thursday morning.

The highway reopened to traffic around 11 a.m.

The eastbound lanes of I-69 remained open as crews worked to flip the truck back onto its wheels.
