The Wethersfield Police Department is asking residents around one neighborhood to come forward if they have had personal belongings stolen from vehicles recently after a recent arrest.

Early Wednesday morning police said an officer stopped a suspicious car after getting a complaint from a resident about someone possibly trespassing on a residential property.

The officer said a car was located, and authorities seized several items that were suspected of being stolen from cars.

THe officer was able to confirm some of the property as being stolen and arrested the two thieves.

According to Wethersfield police, the evidence showed sporadic thefts between Griswold Road to Nott Street, but could possibly include other areas.

Anyone who may have had property stolen in those areas is asked to call police.
