Two families were looking for a new place to stay after a fire at their apartment complex in Phoenix on Thursday morning.

Three adults and three children were being helped by the American Red Cross-Grand Canyon Chapter after the fire started in a vacant second-floor apartment before 6 a.m. at 2400 W. Campbell.

The top apartment appeared to be a total loss and forced the evacuation of the bottom floors.

No injuries were reported.

No cause had been determined.

No other information was immediately available.
