A Muskegon Heights man already in a wheelchair after being shot earlier this year has been shot in the groin.
Muskegon Heights Police Chief Lynne Gill says the 21-year-old man suffered the gunshot wound Thursday night and was taken to the hospital.
According to Gill, the victim was gathering with a group of people around 9:30 p.m. when a vehicle slowed down, gunfire was heard and the victim felt "a sting."
The Muskegon Chronicle reports the man realized he had been shot in the genitals and inner thigh.
Gill says the situation "is a tit-for-tat thing that's going on" and that "these guys are shooting at each other."
The investigation is ongoing.
