A 24-year-old man convicted of killing a man during a high-stakes poker game knows his fate.
A jury convicted Quintel West of first degree murder and 11 other felonies. He gunned down 36-year-old Michael Kuhlman last May in Saginaw Township. Another man was also shot and hospitalized.
The crime happened during a robbery. According to police, there were eight people inside the home when multiple masked suspects entered and fired shots. The murder took place at Kuhlman's home at 2555 Luella Street off Weiss in Saginaw Township.
West will get a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole.
That sentencing is to take place on June 13.
