HARRISON, MI (WNEM) -

A Farwell man is behind bars after being busted with a large quantity of marijuana inside his vehicle.

Jaime Jay Kleinhardt, 40, is lodged in the Clare County Jail awaiting arraignment.

Deputies with the Clare County Sheriff's Office pulled over Kleinhardt's car on Ludington Drive in Clare County's Grant Township on April 30. Officers found a large amount of marijuana and loaded handgun on Kleinhardt during the traffic stop.

Kleinhardt did have a concealed weapons permit for the handgun.

Police arrested Kleinhardt on charges of Delivery and Manufacturing of Marijuana and took him into custody.

Officers obtained a search warrant and found evidence of a marijuana growing operation. They seized mature plants, processed marijuana and scales in Kleinhardt's home. They also found guns, body armor and ammunition.

It is unclear how much marijuana was seized.
