The Great Lakes Loons have snapped a nine-game losing streak in a big way by routing the Lansing Lugnuts 10-0.
Jonathan Martinez and Miguel Sulbaran combined to shut down the Lugnuts, allowing just four hits in the game.
Martinez (1-2, 4.07 ERA) pitched five shutout innings, striking out one. Sulbaran (2-1, 4.50 ERA) notched his first save of the year, throwing four innings, allowing just one hit.
Lansing committed four errors which led to seven unearned runs.
Kevin Taylor went 3-for-5 at the plate, scoring two runs.
The teams will wrap up the series in Lansing Monday, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
The Loons return to Dow Diamond in Midland on Tuesday, when they'll host the South Bend SilverHawks for three games before heading out back on the road. Great Lakes is in the middle of a 17 game stretch in which they play 14 contests on the road.
