FRANKLIN, TN (WSMV) -

Franklin police responding to complaints about fireworks at a Hunters Chase Drive home later discovered an extensive marijuana grow operation at the home.

Officers were called to the home Wednesday about 9:30 p.m. on reports of a loud boom, and when speaking with the residents there, they noticed the smell of marijuana, police said.

Police then seized approximately 50 plants, with an estimated street value of at least $5,000, as well as paraphernalia from the home.

Todd Wells and Tiffiny Wells are both charged with manufacture/delivery of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Each remains jailed on $75,000 bond.
