Theft at local animal shelter

Posted: Updated:
SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

A local animal shelter is asking for help to find two suspects who stole between $60-$100.

The Saginaw County Animal Care Center released surveillance video Monday night.

One of the suspects broke into a donation jar and took off with the money last Tuesday.

"They money that was in that donation jar, it's not that much, but every little bit goes to help toward the animals," says Kevin Wilken, who is the Saginaw County Animal Control Director.

That money goes to a nonprofit organization that, in, turn helps the shelter.

The Saginaw County Sheriff's Department says it may be connected to another recent theft in the area.
