A two-car crash between Bridgeport and Frankenmuth has left two people dead and temporary resulted in the closure of Junction Road.
That road reopened to traffic following a three hour investigation.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. on Wednesday on Junction, between Reimer and Dixie Highway. Bridgeport Township Police were on the scene investigating.
Police said the Jaws of Life were used to extract a 65-year-old male driver from the wrecked Honda Civic. He was taken to an area hospital and his condition is unknown at this time. His female passenger, age 73, was killed in the crash. Police said the couple are from Illinois.
The female driver of the other car, a Chevrolet Impala, was also killed. Police said she was a 38-year-old Saginaw resident. Their names have not been released.
Bridgeport Township Police say they're still investigating the crash.
