HURON COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
Federal agents raided two dairy farms as part of an ongoing investigation. Search warrants were executed at Parisville Dairy in Huron County and Dunganstown Dairy in Tuscola County.
The Huron County Sheriff's Department assisted with the raid at Parisville Dairy. Sheriff Kelly Hanson said one of his deputies saw agents taking people away.
"The sergeant did observe three or four illegals being taken into custody," said Hanson.
The sheriff said Parisville Dairy has a history with his department. His deputies have been there numerous times.
"We've been at that location in the last four years, five times. Three of those have involved illegal aliens," said Hanson.
Officials with immigration and customs enforcement won't comment on the reason behind these recent search warrants. The agents conducted the raids on May 22. Additional details are not being released because the investigation is ongoing.
