Two people dead after two separate shootings in Saginaw

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Two people are dead after two separate shootings in Saginaw.

The first shooting happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday on the 1000 block of East Holland Avenue near the intersection of Sheridan Road on the city's east side.

Police say a 48-year-old man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators tell TV5 they have a lead on a possible suspect.

The second shooting happened on the city's East side. Police responded to the intersection of South 9th and Perkins around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say a man in his mid-30s was shot and killed.

At this time the names of the victims are not being released.
