SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
The family of a woman found beaten and strangled to death says the man suspected in her murder may be hiding in Grand Rapids.
Angelica Olivarez, 23, was found dead in her Saginaw home in April.
Her ex-boyfriend, Michael Lawrence, is a suspect.
Olivarez's family put up wanted posters in Grand Rapids after they heard from one of Lawrence's family members that he might be in hiding there.
The following message was posted on WNEM.com's Facebook page by Treasa Torrez:
Grand Rapids Family going door-to-door to get the word out about that monster still on the run!!!! We are not going to quit, so run if you can you coward...you can't hide forever!!!
A photo of people holding "wanted" posters was also posted and is viewable to the right.
Police in Saginaw say they've gotten lots of tips on Lawrence's whereabouts, but he could be hiding anywhere.
In April, police were called to a home in the city after Olivarez's 3-year-old son, whom she had with Lawrence, was found wandering the streets by a neighbor after the incident and is believed to have been left alone for hours after his mother died.
Lawrence is described as African-American, standing 5'10" tall and weighing 160 pounds.
Saginaw police detectives are continuing with the investigation and are asking that anyone with information about the location of Lawrence call them at 989-759-1598 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-422- JAIL.
