Bay City man takes aim at car parked in front of home

Posted: Updated:

Police say a man apparently tired of people parking near his property decided to do something about it -- he shot a car!

The Bay City Times reports 81-year-old Richard O'Hara, of Bay City, was formally charged Tuesday.

The shooting incident happened Saturday afternoon in the city's south end.

When it was over, a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu had two .45-caliber bullet holes in its bumper.

O'Hara reportedly told police he had warned people not to park near his property, which he claimed extended seven feet into the street.

O'Hara faces assault with a dangerous weapon and other charges.
