Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe T-Storm Watch for our area, meaning that the environment is favorable for damaging wind, hail and even isolated tornadoes. A cold front is pushing in and will help to form a line of showers and t-storms. Those will move through the mountains from now to 4pm, then 4-7pm or so in the Upstate. Therefore the evening commute could be wet and windy for some. Stay alert to changing weather conditions and we'll keep you posted on facebook, twitter, foxcarolina.com and on air when needed.
The watch will end around 8pm, then we should notice clearing behind the front. Cooler air will filter in (thank goodness because we are running in the 90s for the Upstate and upper 80s in the mountains now). We'll really feel the refreshing air Friday night as overnight lows cool to the 50s and low 60s area-wide.
The weekend still looks great! Highs in the 80s and sunny skies!
