GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

The master plan for Flint will be on display at an upcoming event called Artists Imagine Flint.

The Greater Flint Arts Council (GFAC) and the City of Flint are behind the free, family event meant to showcase the community, local artists and Flint's master plan.

The "festival-like" event will happen in and around the Dome behind City Hall on Saturday, June 29 from noon to 3 p.m..

The nine Flint artists-in-residence who have been working in Flint's nine wards will be featured.

They will present and exhibit the artistic work they have created with residents of their respective wards, including poetry, original theatre, drumming, beautification and videos that explore topics addressed by Flint's Master Planning process.

There will be food and activities for children as well.
