FRANKENMUTH, MI (WNEM) -

The parents of Jayden Lamb have an important and inspiring message to share. Their 8-year-old son lost his battle with cancer in November.

The Lambs were at the Frankenmuth Relay for Life to talk about what it's like to be a caregiver.

Tom Lamb, Jayden's dad, wrote a Facebook post about this first Father's Day without his son.

"I love sharing your story with people because if it can give them hope or strength. It is worth it," wrote Tom Lamb.

Jayden's story has inspired a movement of people giving back.

Since his death, hundreds of people have paid it forward in the little boy's name.

TV5 is an official sponsor of Relay for Life events in Mid-Michigan.
