Saginaw police investigate overnight shooting

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Saginaw's west side.

The shooting happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday night, on the 500 block of Hamilton Street between Madison and Monroe streets.

Police say an 18-year-old and another male were walking down the street when they saw several people circling the block.

The suspects jumped out of the vehicle, robbed and then shot the 18-year-old multiple times.

The victim ran to a nearby home and asked for help. He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated.

Police have not released the victim's name and no arrests have been made.

Saginaw Police detectives and Michigan State Police are conducting the investigation.
