ALBEE TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Saginaw County Sheriff Bill Federspiel said one person was killed in a single-car crash early Monday morning in Albee Township.

Federspiel said deputies responded to the crash scene at Gasper and Fergus roads around 1:40 a.m. after injuries were reported from a single-car crash. When medics arrived at the scene, they determined the front seat passenger in the car was dead.

Federspiel said further investigation revealed that person's identity as Tyler Meiser, 20, from Chesaning.

The sheriff said the 1998 Monte Carlo was northbound on Gasper Road when it left the roadway north of Fergus Road, where it then rolled about five times.

Federspiel said speed and alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash.

No further details were released by authorities.
