SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

More details were revealed on a possible development coming to downtown Saginaw.

Saginaw native Delores McKinney is the CEO of a Maryland-based developer who wants to build a $17 million sporting complex within the city.

But in order to move forward with the 60-acre complex, McKinney needed to gain support of city officials, which she tried to get at meeting with the planning commission Tuesday night.

"The planning commission wants to work with the process and they want to be a part of it and that's what we were striving for, all-state voters involvement," McKinney said. "So it was a good meeting."

The next step is for the plan to go before the city council in July.
