WOOD COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The man whom police say caused a manhunt last week after running from a traffic stop briefly appeared in court Thursday morning.

Officials say Patrick Hammond ran from troopers on Interstate 280 near the Ohio Turnpike, dropping a gun in the process.

His case was continued because he did not have an attorney for his preliminary hearing.

He remains in jail on a $100,000 bond and will be back in court July 2.
