PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix firefighters extinguished a small fire on the 26th floor of a Phoenix high-rise office building late Thursday night.

More than 40 firefighters came to the building at One Renaissance Square at 2 N. Central Ave. about 10 p.m. after building security called and reported the smell of smoke, said Larry Nunez of the Phoenix Fire Department.

Nunez said there were reports of some workers on the floor, but he said no cause had been determined and that the fire was quickly contained.

The fire was found in a corner of a room but was not intense enough to set off the sprinkling system, Nunez said.
