CASEVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Local police are putting a dent in the drug trade. After a long investigation, police raided two locations Thursday in Huron County's Caseville Township.

In the first raid, officers found heroin, syringes, prescription drugs and money.

Jeffrey Hatch, 30, was arrested and formally charged Friday.

The second raid turned up more drug paraphernalia. No one was arrested at the home, but a Pigeon man was later arrested in Tuscola County in connection to the investigation.

Police also arrested another man in connection with a drug bust.

Huron County deputies say 33-year-old Anthony Spencer is charged with the sale and distribution of heroin.

Spencer was arrested at a home on Grassmere Road in Huron County's Colfax Township.

Spencer is the third person to be arrested in the ongoing investigation.

Officials say they have now seized 5 to 8-thousand dollars worth of heroin. Spencer is in the Huron County Jail on a 100 thousand dollar bond.

Police say more arrests are expected.
