FULTON COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A Fulton County deputy was transported to the hospital after hitting a deer on Friday night.

Sheriff's Deputy Amos Boysell was patrolling south on State Route 108, near Wauseon, when a deer hit the windshield of his cruiser. Deputies at the scene say Boysell had no time to avoid the deer.

Glass flew into Deputy Boysell's eyes during the wreck. He had to be taken to the Fulton County Health Center for treatment. He is expected to be OK.
