Cleveland boy and his father have been found safe

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police have canceled an Amber Alert for a missing 8-year-old boy.

The boy and his father were located after an alert citizen called police after noticing the vehicle described in the Amber Alert.

The missing child, Kevin Criss Jr., along with the suspect's vehicle and suspect, Kevin Criss, were located on Cleveland Road in Huron by the Erie County Sheriff's Office and Huron Police. 

The child is in good health and unharmed.  The suspect has been arrested.

The boy went missing Sunday at 4:00 p.m. from West Blvd. in Cleveland.

Family members say the boy's father, 34-year-old Kevin Criss took the boy and said he was taking him to swim at a hotel.  He also made statements he was going to California. 

Cleveland Police say Criss is a suspected meth addict and paranoid with violent tendencies.
