A woman arrested on DUII charges with her husband and two young children in the car was released from jail and arrested for DUII again hours later.
Eugene police said it started at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. A witness called police to report a possible drunk driver and provided a license plate that led officers to the home of Jami Wyatt.
Investigators said she had been driving with her family and her blood-alcohol content was twice the legal limit. She was arrested on charges of DUII, reckless endangering and reckless driving and booked in the Lane County Jail just before 3 p.m.
Wyatt was released from the jail due to overcrowding at 5:20 p.m. About two hours later, according to police, she was spotted driving again.
Eugene police said drivers arrested for DUII that fail the breath test are not allowed to drive for 12 hours following their arrest.
Officers contacted Wyatt and arrested her for a second time on DUII charges at around 7:40 p.m. She was again booked into the Lane County Jail.
